One of the principles of the KonMari method is to keep things that spark joy. This can also be applied to buying new things. You should also have a home for any items you are buying.
Both my sisters have the painting Grace in their kitchens. A few weeks back, I went to a church treasure sale and they had one. Unfortunately, the price was out of my thrifting budget. Whatever did not sell at the sale was donated to Bethesda. Today, I saw the painting for $3.99 I had to get it. My kitchen has a ton of cabinets, so there isn't much wall space. I had to hang it above the opening to the breakfast nook.

It's a beautiful one, and perfect for the kitchen. Loved reading your konmari adventures, thanks for sharing the video. I haven't seen this blog of yours :) Also, funny aside, I've been losing important stuff since I finished this method!? It's like my body and brain can't cope with the beautiful pristine organized ways, something had to give!
