Saturday Centus: Are You Seriously Ordering Another Martini?

"Hi Honey. Sorry I'm late."

"That's ok. I ordered without you."

"What are you drinking?"

"An appletini."

"How many of those did you have?"

"This is my second."

"Hey bartender. Can I get a Miller? So how was your day?"

"Exhausting. I did the laundry, washed the dishes, cleaned the house, listed stuff on EBay. Fought with Ryker to get him to take a nap. Thank god the sitter showed up when she did."

"That rough, huh?"

"Yes. Bartender another please."

"Are you seriously ordering another martini?"

"You got a problem with that?"

"Nope. Guess I'm the designated driver then? Hey bartender. Change that to a coke please."

Hahahaha! Rod is always the designated driver in our house. He doesn't drink anything stronger than a coke! When we were in school, he tried drinking, but he has gastric reflux and his esophagus is always a litte irritated. The alcohol burned, so that was the end of his drinking career! He doesn't tolerate pain well!!!

Good one- you don't have to be at the office to have a rough day.

LOL, I guess he knew who had the worse day. Being a mom can be really tough on some days. Loved this.

This dialogue reads smoothly, and I love the don't drink and drive message!

(Sorry about the poem. You think Jenny will make me write "I will read the rules carefully" 100 times on the blackboard)?

Namaste.............cj

It's a smart man that realizes when the little woman has had a bad day. I am usually the alcohol monitor in our marriage. But the hubby can't get past two beers before he is catching flies on the couch!~Ames

I'm glad the babysitter showed up. I remember how hard it was spending my days with little ones sometimes.

Well done take on the prompt...good of him to recognise who needed the drink more...house work is understated and poorly compensated.

Nice take on the prompt. I think she definitely deserved some down time, and she has a wise husband to recognize that! I very, very rarely drink. Last Friday at dinner with some friends, I asked if it was still happy hour. Everyone KNEW that I'd had a wicked week LOL

poor guy, having to wait to get home to have the beer. oh well, at least he knew better than to have it there.

And sometimes you just need that one extra martini. just sayin

LOL! You can't argue with a woman who wants a drink after a day like the one she had...or you could but you wouldn't like the consequences! Great job!
